Thomas F. Carmen, M.D
Dr. Carmen has been in practice in Wexford since 1988. He is a graduate of the Temple University School of Medicine and the University of Pittsburgh’s Family Practice Program at Shadyside Hospital. He maintains his board certification in family practice. He and his family reside in Marshall Twp. Dr. Carmen has a passion for medical mission work and takes part in yearly mission trips to Haiti to provide medical care.
Susan T. Federoff, M.D
Dr. Federoff is a board-certified family practitioner. She received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and her medical degree from the Dartmouth-Brown Program in Medicine. She then completed her Family Practice Residency at Forbes Health System in Monroeville, PA. Dr Federoff resides in Pine Township with her husband and children. Dr. Federoff shares Dr. Carmen’s passion for medical mission work, and she volunteers in the Dominican Republic.
Domenic Mantella, M.D
Dr. Mantella grew up locally in the North Hills, was educated in the Pine-Richland School District, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. He obtained his medical degree at New York Medical College. He completed his Residency training in Family Medicine at UPMC Shadyside Hospital and furthered his training by completing a Fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Mantella holds dual Board Certifications in both Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine. He has provided coverage for Duquesne University Basketball & Football, Robert Morris University Hockey, Mount Lebanon High School, The Dew Tour, Pittsburgh Power, Pittsburgh Passion, and the Pittsburgh Marathon. He is currently the Head Team Physician for La Roche College and also serves as part time Faculty in the Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program.
Elisabeth Casario, DO
Elisabeth is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate degree at John Carroll University and medical school at Ohio University College of Osteopathy. Her residency in Family Practice was completed at UPMC Shadyside. Elisabeth is married to Joe Casario since 1993 whom she met in Medical School. They have three children together; Nick, Abby, and Olivia.
Jim Compliment, CRNP
Jim is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He graduated from Duquesne University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science and in 1998 earned his Master’s degree in Nursing Science and Family Nurse Practitioner certification at Slippery Rock University / Clarion University.
Jim has experience in emergency medicine, helicopter transport and rescues, pediatric and adult ear nose and throat care, internal medicine, occupational medicine, research and teaching.
Jim is a Lieutenant Colonel with the US Army Reserve and provided care in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Jim lives in Franklin Park with his wife and children.
Melanie Lam, PA-C
Melanie is a board certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from The University of Pittsburgh’s School of Nursing in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and The George Washington University in 2010 with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
Melanie has previous experience in nursing at the Mayo Clinic as well as experience as a physician’s assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She also has previous experience as a physician’s assistant with UPMC Passavant.
Melanie joined the Thomas F. Carmen, M.D. and Associates practice in August 2014. Melanie has a passion for providing medical care across the lifespan. She resides with her husband and daughter in Pine Township.
Kari Jones, PA-C
Kari M Jones is a board certified Physician Assistant. Kari has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Kentucky University and completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Kentucky. Kari has been practicing as a PA since 2010, with experience in Family Medicine and Pediatrics.
Kari most enjoys caring for adolescents, teens and young adults. Kari spent most of her life in Kentucky before moving to Pennsylvania in February 2017. She’ll address you as “y’all”, and the only sport she’ll care to discuss is college basketball. GO CATS! Kari now lives in Pine Township with her husband, children and family dog. Kari enjoys cooking, and all variety of baked goods.
Sean Morgan, PA-C
Sean is a board certified Physician Assistant. He obtained his undergraduate degree in nuclear medicine from Wheeling Jesuit University. Upon graduation he worked in nuclear medicine/radiology at Washington Health System for 4 years. He then returned to Alderson Broaddus University to obtain his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. He has past Physician Assistant experience in orthopedics/sports medicine. Sean lives in the South Hills with wife and son.
