Dr. Loughner is board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy. She is a Pittsburgh native who was born and raised in Leechburg. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from Allegheny College, then attended Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill University in Greensburg. She completed her Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency through Virginia Commonwealth University at Riverside in Newport News, VA. Dr. Loughner is one of few osteopathic physicians in the Pittsburgh area who incorporates Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) into her practice. OMT is a hands-on manual treatment used for a variety of conditions that reduces pain, increases mobility, and promotes healing through gentle manipulation of the soft tissues, muscles, and joints.
Dr. Loughner resides in Mars with her husband, 3 children, and 2 dogs. She is United States Air Force veteran, having served for 12 years before returning home to Pittsburgh. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys music, reading, camping, and spending time outdoors.
