Dr. Mantella grew up locally in the North Hills, was educated in the Pine-Richland School District, and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. He obtained his medical degree at New York Medical College. He completed his Residency training in Family Medicine at UPMC Shadyside Hospital and furthered his training by completing a Fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Dr. Mantella holds dual Board Certifications in both Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine. He has provided coverage for Duquesne University Basketball & Football, Robert Morris University Hockey, Mount Lebanon High School, The Dew Tour, Pittsburgh Power, Pittsburgh Passion, and the Pittsburgh Marathon. He is currently the Head Team Physician for La Roche College and also serves as part time Faculty in the Shadyside Family Medicine Residency Program.
